Obituary for Deanna Mae Smith

Deanna Mae Smith, of Clinton Township, formerly of Clawson, passed away at home on Friday August 17, 2018 at the age of 77. She was born to her parents Reginald and Doris (maiden name: Brown) Austin on March 22, 1941. 

Deanna was a long-time member of the Salvation Army Church in Royal Oak, where she taught Sunday school, Sunbeams and was a youth leader. She graduated from Kimball High School in 1959. An Executive Secretary at Kmart headquarters for 21 years; retiring in 2001. Also an advid gardner and gracious hostess. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Deanna was a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, and will be dearly missed. 

Deanna is survived by her children; Pamela (Don) Hunt, Donna (Michael) Smith Jones, Michael (Cindy) Smith, and Rebecca (Tracey) Nesbitt; grandchildren David Smith, Bailey Jones, Tyler Jones, Thomas Smith, and Rachel Nesbitt; and siblings Sandra (Allan) Kemp and Wayne (Calleen) Austin. 

She is preceded in death by her parents Reginald and Doris Austin. 

Visitation will be held 1-6pm Sunday August 19, 2018 at Gramer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main Street (Livernois between 14 & 15 mile rd.) Clawson, MI. 48017. The funeral Service will be 1pm Monday August 20, 2018 also at the funeral home followed by burial at Oakview Cemetery.
