Obituary for Madge May Guirey

Madge May Guirey of Royal Oak and formerly of Berkley died Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. She was 93 years old. Madge was born December 19, 1924 in Royal Oak, Michigan to James Victor Wallace and May (Maiden name: Oxley).

Madge is survived by her children Steven M. Guirey, Nancy J. (Donald) Starlin, Edward J. Guirey and 4 grandchildren, Natalie (Scott) Brent, Christine (Ashwin) Starlin/Nair, Dawn Starlin, David (Jenny) Starlin and 5 great-grandchildren: Ashlyn, Brianna, Bryce, August and Mikey.

Madge is also survived by her sister Peggy (Jim) Keeran and brother John (Joanne) Wallace.

Madge is preceded in death by her loving husband Michael Edward on May 18, 1990, and 3 sisters, Catherine (Percy) Hebb, Joanne (Neal) Baggott and Jean (Dale) Putnam.

Madge was a kind, loving woman who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, playing cards and indulging in sweet treats. She will be missed by many.

A Celebration of Madge’s life will be held at 11 am Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Gramer Funeral Home 705 North Main Street (Livernois between 14 & 15 mile roads) Clawson, Michigan 48017 (248) 435-9010. Family and friends may visit 4 pm until 9 pm on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at the funeral home. Handicap entrance is located on the north side of the building under the carport.
