Kenny loved to laugh.  He was always quick with a heartfelt smile, a smile so big it closed his eyes and made you smile just to see it.  He was extremely outgoing and unforgettable.  He loved to be with family - joking and laughing, and giving and receiving affection.  A devoted Detroit sports fan he watched games whenever he could.  Other pleasures of life he loved were eating McDonald's cheeseburgers and french fries, drinking Pepsi, smoking, and dancing (especially to Elvis).  Though he did not complete high school in his youth he did complete his high school level education classes as an adult, very proudly walking in his graduation ceremony in 1996.  He was also very proud of being a Vietnam veteran and a decades long usher at Guardian Angels.

He idolized his father who passed away while Ken was in his 20s.  Kenny was then well cared for throughout his life by his mother, brother, and sister, and later helped care for them when they were in need of care.  He was a kind man who liked to get along with everyone.  Very polite, respectful, and often a sweetheart.  His limitations kept him from enjoying certain aspects of life, but though he could not drive a car or manage complicated matters, he knew how to enjoy much of life with an all consuming earnestness, and he helped others do the same.

He will forever be lovingly remembered for who he was and what he helped others learn - his gentle nature, quickness to laughter, genuine smile and caring for others, and the precious way he always was able to enjoy the fun in life without being overly self-conscious about how it might look to others.  Kenny suprised most with what he acomplished in his life and made the most of the gifts he was given.
