David Lane Simpson "Dave", 73, of Troy, Michigan for 27 years, died on September 9, 2017 at home. He graduated Troy High School in 1962 where he was apart of the National Honor's Society as well as on the baseball and track team. David graduated University of Michigan with a degree in Engineering. He was employeed with Great Lakes Steel in Ecorse, Michigan as an engineer for 43 years retiring in 2010. David's faith was very important to him and he was very active at the Waterford Church of Christ and was also an elder for 10 years at the Royal Oak Church of Christ.  

David is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly Elizabeth. They were married on June 6, 1964 at Parkview Church of Christ in Warren, Michigan. He is also survived by his loving daughter, Kimberly (William) Gaw; son, Todd Simpson; granddaughter, Gracelyn Gaw; brother, Richard (Karen) and many good friends.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Oudima Simpson.

Visitation 2 pm until 9 pm Wednesday September 13, 2017 at

Gramer Funeral Home 705 North Main Street  Clawson, Michigan 48017 248 435-9010

Funeral Service will be 11 am Thursday, instate at 10 am, at

Waterford Church of Christ 4991 Williams Lake Rd, Waterford Twp, MI 48329
